YOUR ROLE
The Lead Data Science Consultant will be a seasoned data science leader in the customer & marketing areas partnering effectively with enterprise marketing & customer insights teams to scale AI & data science capabilities, build Agentic decision-support tools with measurable operational impact and drive AI adoption. He/she shall play a hands-on technical role in building and architecting data science solutions by working with junior team associates. He/she would be a data science consultant collaborating closely with the VP, Data Science & core business stakeholders to deliver outstanding business outcomes for problems within the customer & marketing areas:
- MarTech data foundations, journey optimizations, lifecycle modeling,and agentic AI activations for path to loyalty,
- Customer segmentations on loyalty/value, price sensitivity, brand/category/product affinities,
- A/B testing, measurement frameworks & Causal modelling,
- Personalization & recommendations – personalize through the right channel, with the right content for the right product,
- Lookalike, affinity, CLV & propensity models,
- Generative AI initiatives.
You will work directly on the data science & AI problems that have the most impact on VS&Co’s digital e-commerce and customer/marketing areas.
YOUR IMPACT

Partner effectively with customer, marketing & digital teams to scale shared AI/ML capabilities across the company, build decision-support tools with measurable operational impact and drive AI adoption.

Engage with cross-functional partners (marketing ops, digital merchants, customer analytics, etc.) to translate use cases into data science & AI problem statements.

Build conversational AI agents to deliver faster insights that drive customer strategy on acquisition, retention & growth.

Partner across enterprise and build/deploy AI agents for strategic enterprise priorities.

Deliver ML models with strong performance, high reliability, and measurable business impact; ensure solutions are usable, measurable, and trusted by front-line teams.

Conduct design reviews and solution reviews, represent data science at the enterprise technical council to drive scalable architectures and agentic AI commerce solutions.

Collaborate and implement the overall data science strategy for strategic enterprise initiatives. Evaluate, recommend, & implement state-of-the art algorithms and methods with measurements at scale.

Maximum Salary: $227,115.00
VS&Co provides a range of compensation for this role as shown. Your actual salary will be determined by a number of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic region, or other relevant factors.
YOUR EXPERIENCE

10+ years of relevant experience in data science & analytics role preferably in retail domain.

Strong experience building & deploying data science models for customer & marketing use cases.

Strong programming skills. Expert level proficiency in Python, SQL.

Strong written & verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complicated statistical analytical concepts & solutions to business stakeholders in a simplified comprehensible manner.

Excellent presentation skills & ability to shape course of action through persuasion & negotiations.

Collaborate actively with topic owners to understand and develop advanced analytics / data science.

Strong consulting background with experience & exposure driving insights and data science-based value outcomes.

Recruiter review
The VS&Co. recruiting team has an eye for great talent and will contact qualified candidates who apply. Recruiters also may come across your profile on LinkedIn or other career sites and reach out to you directly. Recruiters may contact you by phone, email, text, or LinkedIn messages to arrange screens or interviews.
Initial Screen
Recruiters complete an initial screening with talent to learn about candidates and share more about our culture and opportunities.
Interviews
Interviews with the hiring team can happen by phone, video, or in person. We will never conduct an interview via chat, messaging service, or texting.
Offers
VS&Co. Recruiters extend job offers electronically that are sent from vsco-hr@victoria.com email address. We will never ask for payment, financial information, equipment purchases, or personal information as a part of the recruiting process. Post-acceptance personal identification information is captured in a secure system.
