Your Role
The Data Sciences & Analytics is a global CoE team, incubated within Victoria’ Secret & Co. (VS&Co), building the best-in-class suite of Data Science & Analytics Products that power the best shopping experience for our customers, and deliver actionable, customer-centric insights to our ecommerce, marketing, merchandising and supply chain teams enabling better business decisions on omni channel (digital + store) 360 performances.
The Senior Data Scientist will play a large technical role in architecting data science solutions and working with team members & business stakeholders to deliver outstanding business outcomes for problems across VS&Co.
You will be leading the building of machine learning models on:

Customer segmentations, lookalike, affinity, CLV & propensity models

A/B testing, measurement frameworks & Causal modelling

Price elasticity & promo optimization models

NLP, LLMs & embeddings, GenAI chat-bots
You have a deep interest and passion for technology. You love writing and owning codes and enjoy working with people who will keep challenging you at every stage. You have strong problem solving, analytic, decision-making, and excellent communication with interpersonal skills. You are self-driven and motivated with the desire to work in a fast-paced, result-driven agile environment with varied responsibilities.
You will work directly on the AI problems that have the most impact on VS&Co’s digital e-commerce, customer/marketing, pricing/promotions.
Your Impact

Design the development of solutions that leverage data sciences & advanced analytics to develop required business solutions.

Perform deep exploratory analysis on large scale customer data, identify shopping & interaction patterns, discover price elasticity & price sensitivity behaviors and build lifecycle models for targeting customers towards loyalty.

Build conversational agents to deliver faster insights that drive customer strategy on acquisition, retention & growth.

Evaluate, recommend, & implement state-of-the art algorithms and methods.

Knowledge of MLOps practices.

Maximum Salary: $176,820.00
VS&Co provides a range of compensation for this role as shown. Your actual salary will be determined by a number of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic region, or other relevant factors.
Your Experience

B.S. degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics

M.S. or PH.D. in Computer Science, applied mathematics, statistics, physics, operations research, quantitative social sciences or related fields will be preferred.

6+ years of relevant experience in data scientist roles preferably in retail domain.

Strong understanding of computer technology with strong programming skills. Expert level proficiency in Python, SQL.

Strong written & verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complicated statistical analytical concepts & solutions to business stakeholders in a simplified comprehensible manner.

Excellent presentation skills & ability to shape course of action through persuasion & negotiations.

Collaborate actively with topic owners to understand and develop advanced analytics / data science

Experience designing algorithms for a relevance system such as marketing, loyalty, etc.

I have worked for VS&Co for 10 years. In that time, I have had the opportunity to work as a surface designer for PINK panties, bras, accessories, sleep, sport, apparel, and swim. Working in all of these different categories has allowed me to familiarize myself with our total product offerings, learn various processes, and work with a variety of partners. Through every category I have worked on, “Better Together” has always been the consistent value that shows up. This shared value allows us to collaborate effectively together!

Working at VS&Co has been such a fantastic experience! VS is full of collaboration, creativity, and empowerment! I started my journey at VS&Co in 2023 as a technical design intern and quickly discovered that it was a place where I could grow and thrive. The following year I was able to return, for a second summer internship, and later saw the opportunity to apply for a design position. Today, I have the pleasure of working alongside talented designers on the casual intimate design team, in a supportive and innovative environment!

The VS&Co. recruiting team has an eye for great talent and will contact qualified candidates who apply. Recruiters also may come across your profile on LinkedIn or other career sites and reach out to you directly. Recruiters may contact you by phone, email, text, or LinkedIn messages to arrange screens or interviews.
Initial Screen
Recruiters complete an initial screening with talent to learn about candidates and share more about our culture and opportunities.
Interviews
Interviews with the hiring team can happen by phone, video, or in person. We will never conduct an interview via chat, messaging service, or texting.
Offers
VS&Co. Recruiters extend job offers electronically that are sent from vsco-hr@victoria.com email address. We will never ask for payment, financial information, equipment purchases, or personal information as a part of the recruiting process. Post-acceptance personal identification information is captured in a secure system.
