 Manager – Supply Chain

Role Purpose

This position is responsible for managing teams that develop, implement, and maintain systems in the areas of Merchandise planning & assortment and Product Lifecycle Management. The Manager will be accountable for the overall delivery of the design, development, upgrade and implementation for all applications (Including custom developed application) in the MP&A and PLM areas. He/she will be expected to use in-depth technology skills, business knowledge, and packaged solution expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into the business environment. Experience in working with internal business customers and functional IT groups to develop short and long term systems plan would also be required. This role reports to Senior Manager Supply chain.

Duties and responsibilities Team Administration – Plan and direct work among team members. – Manage the performance of employees, including setting objectives, assessing performance, and placing employees on performance improvement plans. – Provides support to the new hire process and contributes to the hiring decisions.

Solution Delivery & Production Support – Manage & contribute to the solution delivery process, from definition stage with business users, through the analysis, design, development and implementation. – Assist Leaders in developing strategy for optimizing the use of the MP&A (JDA, Other home grown applications) and PLM (Centric) solutions. – Continually review the team’s responsibilities against enterprise needs to identify areas where technology can resolve current business problems by the evaluation, integration, implementation and support of such technology through the existing capabilities. – Defines and gains consensus on deliverables, milestones and scope & communicates status to stakeholders – Estimates project/support skill requirements, identify appropriate resources and managing their effective capacity utilization across the portfolio. – Responsible for day to day management and resolution of Incidents, Problems and Requests. – Manage and report key performance metrics as established by the Supply Chain global teams. – Work closely with the leaders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Software Development Lifecycle – Support other aspects of the SDLC such as implementation planning, security, performance testing, system integration testing, training, release management and cross functional production support. – Lead/Support other activities such as documentation, operations and business requirements to support the execution of changes to the overall Logistics solution.

Skills & Knowledge – Possesses expertise in the delivery of solutions for Assortment planning, Product Master Data, Financial, Sales & Buy planning, Size optimization, Inventory management, PLM for Beauty and Lingerie and Apparel – Ability to develop and deliver supply chain capabilities using relevant technology; solid management skills with ability to multitask and deliver multiple small to large projects in a cross-functional setting. – Uses in-depth technology skills, business knowledge, and packaged solution expertise to effectively

integrate packaged technology into the business environment. – Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of the organization from technical staff to executive-level management. Must be able to influence business/technology leaders and management decisions and drive ownership and acceptance of this change. – Solid communication and presentation skills and an ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding. – Has individual and team development skills that support enterprise strategy and objectives. – Aptitude to learn technical information quickly, assimilate technical and business requirements and delegate tasks to the India based teams in an efficient and effective manner

Experience

– Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline with technology focus. MS/M.B.A. degree highly desirable. – 10 to 12 years of progressive broad-based information systems experience. – 6 to 8 years of demonstrated management/supervisory experience in systems development, during which more than one of the following is apparent:

1. Strong managerial skills, including the ability to establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders and peers.

2. Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary, high-performance work teams/groups and ability to lead and motivate staff to apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems. 3. Successful development and implementation of supply chain technology. Should have experience on

1. MS.Net/Java J2ee technology experience

2. Cloud experience

3. Integration experience (Confluent Kafka)

4. Data base knowledge

5. Oracle experience

6. Agile development methodology

7. Coaching and guidance to Tech leads

8. Automation experience

9. GitHub copilot / Any AI development tool experience

 

4. Demonstrated successful development and implementation of new work processes or process improvements 5. Experience develop solutions to complex business problems

– Proven experience in managing global applications & global teams in an On/Off delivery model, project management and enterprise applications deployment. Working Relations – Reports to the Senior Manager – Supply Chain at India – Works directly with individuals and teams in India and US – Participates in presentations to senior management and has regular contact with the user community.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline with technology focus. MS/M.B.A. degree highly desirable.
  • 10 to 14 years of progressive broad-based information systems experience.
