Description
- Build end-to-end fact-based cost details.
- Partner with Product Development, Production, and Sourcing teams to gather the necessary information for cost calculations.
- Perform bottom-up FOB value and landed price calculations.Share detailed cost analyses with internal and external partners.
- Calculate fabric, lace, and liner consumption using Gerber.
- Fully understand all items used in the style/prototype by referencing garment samples or proto sheets.
- Have a strong understanding of pattern-making technology and the ability to create or modify patterns.
- Develop and implement best-engineered markers, demonstrate them to internal and external partners, and install them within the vendor base.
- Compare VS&CO costs with vendor costs and identify key variances in each cost section.
- Fully own the cost validation process with the vendor base.
- Standardize the costing process across vendors.
- Build a YY database (GERBER).Identify cost improvement opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to reduce raw material consumption.
- Identify opportunities to reduce component consumption.
- Review current raw material wastage allowances and discuss/agree on adjustments with vendors.
- Ensure vendors adopt the most cost-effective methods and processes to achieve costed standards and efficiency.
Qualifications
- 7 years of related experience.
- Must have manufacturing experience in CAD systems and cutting rooms within a reputed garment manufacturer.
- Specialized experience in Gerber technology is required.
- Experience in other CAD systems and cutting processes is an added advantage.
- A degree or diploma in clothing manufacturing is required.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
- Strong communication skills across all levels within the vendor base.
- Knowledge of PU cup manufacturing and consumption calculations is an added advantage.
