Description
The Asset Protection Investigator is responsible for preventing and improving shrink across multiple stores by conducting thorough external investigations and supporting internal awareness programs. The Asset Protection Investigator is responsible for performing all responsibilities in a safe manner consistent with company values and policies and applicable federal and state laws. This role typically reports to a Regional Asset Protection Manager.
This role will be supporting the 86th Street Upper East Side New York location and Harlem store locations

Your Impact
AP Functional Knowledge
- Co-lead external investigations with partnership of supervisor and Market Investigators
- Review data reporting to identify external patterns across multiple stores
- Utilize External Known Loss (EKL) across multiple stores to support larger case building
- Prepare and present cases to law enforcement using external portfolio and external profile, per company guidelines
Partnerships
- Support development of other APIs through zone API calls and mentorship, including sharing experiences and AP expertise to support peer development.
- Provide external training and awareness to store leadership and associates
- Train and onboard newly hired APIs, as directed
- Participate in the inventory process as directed by supervisor to support minimizing inventory losses and achievement of shrink goals
Communication
- Ensure proper preparation, maintenance and retention of all reports, evidence, files and records in accordance with company guidelines and local jurisdiction
Judgement and Decision Making
- Identify and investigate and/or apprehend shoplifters in strict accordance with Victoria’s Secret & Co Shoplifting Apprehension Policies and Procedures
Personal Credibility
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with members of the store management team, local officials and agencies; work to develop relationships with other asset protection industry investigators and mall security
- Testify in criminal proceedings when required

Minimum Salary : $31.00
Maximum Salary : $40.84

Qualifications/Your Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of asset protection investigative experience, preferred.
- Effective communications skills, written and verbal.
- Effective organization and follow up skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Travel may be required
