Your Role
The Production Planner, Raw Material Planning is responsible for supporting the Raw Material Planning and owning certain areas within the brand. The Production Planner reports to the Senior Planner and works under general direction and handles complex issues and product responsibilities.
The Production Planner must use their strong problem-solving skills and industry knowledge to resolve complex issues, which will include influencing cross functional teams and complex issue resolution. The Production Planner must maintain an intense focus on cost and speed as it relates to their categories.

Your Impact
Development Stage RM Planning
- Engages with RM Technical based on identified capacity risk
Seasonal RM Projections
- Coordinate with Production Planning (PP) to deliver on time complete seasonal projections for a full brand
- Aggregates seasonal projections to analyze discrepancies before passing to mills
- Partner with PP to resolve any discrepancies before sending to mills
Seasonal Raw Material Capacity Planning
- Communicates identified risk and commitment timing at the material style and collection level to PP and CFT RM Team
- Resolves any open discrepancies or capacity issues with PP and CFT RM Team
- Partner with PP and CFT RM Team to prioritize RM output across categories
- Coordinate with RM Tech around product readiness to identify additional risk
- Communicate brand strategy changes and implications to mills
Seasonal RM Commitment Management
- Coordinates with PP and CFT RM Team to receive RM commitments according to commitment guidelines
- Aggregate commitments and issue to mill
- Add new commitment ownership to financial tracking system
- Coordinates with PP and CFT RM Team as projections change to reconcile commitments based risk assessment done with mill
- Analyze and advise commitment needs across categories to minimize business risk and spend
- Coordinate with PP and CFT RM Team based on MOQ and MCQ liability implications
Raw Material Ownership Reconciliation
- Helps to communicate total RM ownership with mills
- Validates mill changes and publishes to aggregated database
- Update system of record based on current ownership
- Communicate current ownership to PP and CFT RM Team
- Collaborate with mills on ownership to resolve issues risen by PP and CFT RM Team including; expiration extensions, ownership inquires, or ready date discrepancies
- Analyze total RM ownership to advise brand risk
- Maintain/update cadence and communicate to mills and PP and CFT RM Team
- Communicate aggregated ownership to PP and CFT RM Team encompassing all updates
Write-Off and Liability Management
- Collaborate with PP and CFT RM Team to align write-off needs
- Communicate write-offs to mill
- Support PP and CFT RM Team in month-end liability analysis
Calendar and Process
- Advise on, communicate and execute to seasonal calendar
- Helps to onboard new mills to current RM Management process
Innovation and Research
- Supports RM project/initiatives as identified

Minimum Salary : $64,000.00
Maximum Salary : $84,735.00
VS&Co provides an estimated range of compensation for this role as shown. Your actual compensation will be determined by a number of relevant factors, including but not limited to your specific skills, experience, & geographic location.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related area or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience; preferably in a retail production & sourcing environment
- Knowledge and understanding of the supply/vendor base and global manufacturing environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite; proven Excel skills required
- Detail oriented with strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Detailed understanding of product cost
