· Design and architect network solutions, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
· Implement and maintain network hardware, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers etc.
· Collaborate with security teams to ensure network security protocols are followed.
· Configure and manage network services, including DNS, DHCP, and IP address management.
· Perform regular maintenance and upgrades of network equipment and software.
· Monitor network performance, troubleshoot network issues, and ensure optimal performance and reliability.
· Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
· Will participate in after-hours on call duties.
· Partner with various Teams to resolve issues on Rapid response calls.
· Partner with Disaster Recovery teams to test backup and failover of Global Network infrastructure.
· Partner with Security for various initiatives for Network and security related projects, task, or activities.
· Create and maintain detailed network documentation, diagrams, and procedures.
· Prepare reports on network health, performance, and capacity planning.
· Document network configurations and changes in accordance with change management policies.
· Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for network-related incidents.
· Work with cross-functional teams to establish network guidelines and best practices.
· Evaluate and recommend network technologies and tools.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
· Provide network documentation and training to other IT staff.
· Knowledge on Python, PowerShell scripting and automation knowledge is a plus.
4-year degree in Computer Information Systems or an equivalent combination of course work / experience
· 3-5 years of experience in network engineering and Firewall administration.
· Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of firewall technologies, including next-generation firewalls.
· Design and implement firewall solutions to protect against threats, unauthorized access, and data exfiltration.
· Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for firewall management and policy development.
· Conduct thorough research to stay updated on the latest security threats and firewall technologies.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate firewall solutions with other security measures.
· Serve as a technical expert in firewall-related projects, providing guidance and support to junior staff.
· Review and approve changes to firewall configurations and policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
· Participate in audits and assessments, providing subject matter expertise.
· Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose corrective actions to enhance security posture.
· Create and deliver training sessions to enhance the team’s knowledge and performance in firewall management.
· Proven track record of managing complex firewall environments.
· In-depth hands-on design & implementation of Next-Gen firewalls, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, FortiGate, and other relevant technologies.
· Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching.
· Relevant certifications such as CCNP Security, PCNSE, NSE, or equivalent.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SD-WAN etc.).
· Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark).
· Good to have Cisco, Arista, or Juniper certifications (CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, etc.)
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
· Administering & deployment knowledge of layer 2 (Switching) technologies i.e., VLANS, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, STP advancements, Port channels (LACP/M-LAG)
· Understanding & hands on experience of configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Routing technologies i.e., Legacy routing (RIP/IGRP), OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS and SD-WAN technologies ideally Versa, Cisco/Viptela and Fortinet SD-WAN
· Understanding & hands on experience of Network admission control protocol preferably Aruba ClearPass, Radius, ISE
· Administration of Cisco, Juniper, or Aruba Wireless solutions.
· Plan, design and deploy solution involving firewalls i.e., Palo Alto, FortiGate & Cisco NexGen firewalls are mandatory.
· Knowledge of SASE technologies preferably Zscaler or relevant.
· Knowledge of Cisco/Five9 or relevant contact center solution & management of CUCM.
· Understanding of legacy networking i.e., TCP/IP, OSI, hub, repeaters, Bridges, Switches, routers, Firewalls, and telecom devices
