Sr Software Engineer, SAP
Purpose:
The Senior SAP BASIS Engineer is responsible for the holistic management, administration, and optimization of the enterprise SAP landscape—covering on-premises, cloud, and hybrid deployments. This role requires deep technical expertise across SAP BASIS, HANA, cloud hyperscalers, security, automation, and next-generation SAP technologies. The engineer will work closely with functional, development, and infrastructure teams to ensure optimal performance, reliability, scalability, and security of the SAP ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
SAP System Administration & Operations
Install, configure, and maintain SAP landscapes (S/4HANA, B/4HANA, SAP ERP, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Cloud ALM).
Lead ECC to S/4HANA greenfield/brownfield migrations (SUM, DMO, SWPM).
Manage SAP HANA administration (backup/restore, HA/DR setup, multi-tenant DB, performance tuning).
Administer SAP NetWeaver ABAP/Java stacks, Fiori Front-end Server, SAP CAR, SAP SLT, SAC, and BOBJ.
Configure SAP Cloud Connector, Integration Suite, IAS/IPS, SCP destinations, and SAP BTP subaccounts.
Cloud & Infrastructure
Manage SAP workloads hosted on Azure/AWS/GCP (VM provisioning, storage, networking, monitoring).
Configure HA/DR using cloud-native tools (Azure ASR, AWS FSx, snapshots, replication).
Implement SAP readiness checks, sizing, and cloud cost optimization.
Monitoring & Automation
Set up and manage SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Solution Manager (CHaRM, EWA, System Monitoring).
Develop automation scripts using Python, Shell, Ansible, PowerShell for BASIS tasks.
Implement monitoring dashboards (Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
Relationship Management
•Work closely with the respective teams. Collaborate and build strong relationship with functional teams to ensure required support for coaching, streamlining and enhancement of processes.
•Work with cross regional partners
•Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to influence team members.
Education
•Bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technologies
Work Expérience :
•8+ years of experience in SAP BASIS administration. BOBJ Administration, Fiori, HANA DB Administration. S/4 Migration, Cloud Integration,
•Minimum 4 to 5 years of SAP Basis experience in an international and complex SAP environment with at least two full life cycle implementation Project.
•Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) for SAP deployment.
Strong knowledge of SAP architecture, tools, and technologies (SAP HANA, Fiori, etc.).
•Ability to Own, Lead and coordinate Operational tasks, escalations, Project & Process improvements in a fast-moving environment.
•Excellent communication both Verbal and Written skills & Proficient at technical documentation.Good communication skills to ensure the coordination within the global SAP Tech Team
•Aptitude for learning new technologies available.
