Data Center Analyst – IT Operations

Objective: End-to-End Data Center Infrastructure Management & Operational Excellence

• Gain and maintain deep expertise across all corporate data centers (DC4, DC5, DC6), including power systems (UPS, generators, batteries), HVAC/CRAC systems, fire suppression and detection mechanisms, network/MDF/IDF layouts, structured cabling, and access controls.

• Lead preventive maintenance, availability risk assessments, and modernization initiatives ensuring Tier level compliance and 99.99% operational uptime.

 • Own execution and continuous improvement of data center health scorecards, facility audits, redundancy validations, capacity management, and sustainability practices.

• Manage vendor engagement lifecycle — scope definition, work permit approvals, supervision of maintenance works, validation of deliverables, and service performance reviews.

• Function as onsite Incident Commander during emergencies (power, cooling, network, environmental issues) ensuring swift mitigation and minimal business impact

Objective: Batch Operations and Workflow Reliability

• Continuously monitor job executions via Control-M Enterprise Manager.

 • Promptly investigate and respond to job failures.

 • Perform job holds, reruns, kills, and loads as required.

• Coordinate with OS, network, and Security teams as needed.

• Document incidents and escalate per the escalation matrix.

• Monitor Control-M infrastructure for high availability, performance, and scalability.

• Troubleshoot basic job execution issues, dependencies, and resource allocation.

• Maintain accurate logs of all operations and incidents for audit and handover.

Objective: Monitoring Strategy, Physical Security & Compliance Governance

• Use advanced monitoring tools (DCIM, Site Scan/Alber, SNMP tools, CCTV systems) to proactively identify and respond to events before service degradation occurs.

• Govern Data Center physical security standards including badge provisioning, video retention policy, rack access control, and compliance with security audits (SOX, ISO 27001).

• Lead Rapid Response communication — timely alerts/escalations, bridge coordination, and real-time updates for executives and stakeholder teams.

• Ensure audit-readiness through meticulous documentation, evidence gathering and policy enforcement. Objective: Data Insights, Reporting & Knowledge Management

• Maintain detailed logs of inspections, maintenance activity, and incidents to support data-driven decision making and shift turnovers.

• Publish weekly/monthly ops dashboards covering health, performance, recurring patterns, capacity, energy usage, and vendor SLA compliance.

• Manage continuous improvement of documentation including runbooks, equipment inventories, configuration diagrams, DR plans, and escalation workflows.

Additional Leadership & Innovation Responsibilities

• Drive automation initiatives (scripted monitoring checks, digital logging, dashboarding, alert tuning) to reduce manual intervention.

• Participate in Data Center Strategy programs — migrations, cloud transitions, hardware tech refreshes, cage expansions, smart access solutions.

• Conduct BCP/DR failover drills with Infrastructure Teams and ensure recovery objectives are always met.

• Mentor junior engineers in operations best practices and oversee knowledge transition to new team members.

• Represent Data Center Operations in global governance forums and leadership reviews.

• Champion ESG goals: reducing power consumption and improving PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness). Expected Outcomes & Performance Measures

• 100% uptime of critical infrastructure supporting high-availability business services.

• Reduction in environmental incidents through faster mean time to detect (MTTD) & mean time to resolve (MTTR).

• Demonstrated operational maturity through automation, compliance, and cost efficiency improvements.

• Strong customer satisfaction from business units due to transparency and proactive communication.
