Raw Material Sourcing and Development

Support supplier sourcing, selection, and allocation strategies.

Initiate and manage material sourcing and development processes from concept to approval.

Review and validate key data including material specifications, price and lead times, and confirm feasible options.
-
Support re-engineering or duplication of carryover materials to optimize efficiency.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in systems such as Flex PLM, Box.com, and Centric.
Raw Material Approval (QA) & Risk assessment

Initiate RM QA processes and conduct preliminary risk assessments (e.g., mold trials, bonding tests).

Develop quality guidelines and ensure adherence to QA deadlines (DDD dates).

Identify and monitor high-risk materials related to quality performance and capacity during seasonal development.

Validate new fabric process routes and conduct supplier visits when needed.
-
Review data accuracy and risk assessment results to support informed decision-making.

Monitor supplier performance and compliance with quality standards.

Review DGT testing samples, validate results, and collaborate with cross-functional teams; escalate issues to leadership when necessary.

Maintain and organize QA libraries and documentation.

Oversee bulk material quality to ensure compliance with standards.

Understand and support the color approval process, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

A minimum of 4 years of experience in a technical role within a manufacturing environment.

Strong working relationships with fabric, yarn, chemical, and machinery suppliers are required.

Solid knowledge in synthetic knit fabric, especially Single Jersey / Fleece / Terry.

Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel is necessary.

Good presentation and communication skills.

Good command of written and spoken English.

Willing to travel as necessary.

Results-oriented and able to work independently.

Prior experience in a fabric mill, printing facility, laundry, dyeing house, or garment manufacturing environment is preferred.

Candidates with more experience will be considered as Senior Technologist, Raw Materials.
