Your Role
The Lead Investigator Asset Protection (AP) Store is responsible for executing VS & Co Theft prevention and
Shortage control programs for the store. As an hourly associate, the Lead Investigator AP Store reports directly to
AP Manager – Flagship. Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills enabling them to
develop partnerships with Store Leaders and Associates allowing for heightened awareness of shortage-causing
issues. This role has a strong emphasis of internal and external case building and the ability to use exception based reporting.

Your Impact
- Identify and investigate and/or apprehend internal and external theft activity in strict accordance with
Victoria’s Secret & Co Shoplifting Apprehension Policies and Procedures - Conducts surveillance and apprehension of external theft suspects
- Conducts audits/inspections of operational procedures, safety issues, and other shortage control
procedures - Completes all statistical and incident reports
- Provide training and awareness to store leadership and associates
- Co-lead external investigations with partnership of supervisor and Market Investigators
- Review data reporting to identify external patterns across multiple stores
- Utilize External Known Loss (EKL) across multiple stores to support larger case building
- Prepare and present cases to law enforcement using external portfolio and external profile, per company
guidelines - Ensure proper preparation, maintenance and retention of reports, evidence, files and records in
accordance with company guidelines and local jurisdiction - Develop and maintain positive working relationships with members of the store management team, local
officials and agencies; work to develop relationships with other asset protection industry investigators
and store security - Testify in criminal proceedings when required
- Participate in the inventory process as directed by supervisor to support minimizing inventory losses and
achievement of shrink goals - Actively participates in Store Meetings
- Helps ensure a safe environment for associates and customers
- Partners with AP leadership and Store Management on addressing Asset Protection issues

Your Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
· 4-5 years of retail Loss Prevention/Asset Protection management experience preferred.
· Knowledgeable of how to effectively conduct investigations and/or integrity interviews.
· Basic knowledge of computer applications, i.e.: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
· Must be able to work for extended periods at a desk on a computer or standing/walking as required.
· Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
· Knowledgeable of federal, state, and local law.
· Knowledgeable of surveillance equipment and installations.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Some travel may be required
